Dijual lukisan "Adrift in eternity"
**The Philosophy Behind the Painting** This painting depicts an antique pocket watch suspended in the vastness of space. The watch symbolises a person's share of time—their lifetime. Its imperfect, melting form represents the days and moments that have passed without leaving a meaningful impact. In contrast, the large, radiant stars symbolise the days and memories that continue to shine brightly and remain unforgettable. A human figure, portrayed as an astronaut, hangs from a rope tied around their hand. The rope represents the hardships and burdens of life, while the hand holding a knife symbolises the feeling of giving up. At this moment, the astronaut is faced with a choice: 1. Cut the rope, freeing themselves from the pain caused by it; or 2. Continue hanging on until the watch has completely melted. *The first choice* offers relief by removing the burden they carry. However, the consequence is that they abandon their struggles through an act of surrender before their time has naturally come. *The second choice* is open to personal interpretation. Whether it is considered worthwhile depends on each individual's goals, dreams, hopes, and determination. The knife represents only a small part of the failures they have experienced. Instead of giving in, they choose to endure, allowing the watch to melt on its own as time continues its inevitable course. **Achievements** This painting was awarded *Third Place* in an internal art competition. It was also the artist's very first painting competition. At first, the artist was reluctant to participate, but with encouragement from a friend and seeing the frustration of their class representative, they decided to compete on behalf of their class. The painting took approximately *two weeks* to complete before the competition. Through dedication, perseverance, and sincere effort, the artist successfully finished both the painting and the philosophy behind it. **Price: Rp 250,000,-**
